"Giving children the freedom to be children, and helping our community shine brighter."

Every child is a blessing, so it is my goal to create a safe and fun environment for children to learn the art of dance. Liberté Light Dance, is more than technique, choreography and costumes; we value the integrity of children and our Choreography shows it. Every dance brings out the fun and innocence of our students.

We also enforce important values here, such as: teamwork, respect, and listening skills. These three values are the most important and our students are expected to work together in unity.

The reason I chose the school name, Liberté Light Dance, is because it is my dream to bring Freedom and Light to the world through dance. I accomplish this by giving children the freedom to be children, and helping our community shine brighter; by turning all my year end shows into fundraisers for those who need it most. An organization will be carefully selected each year and the money raised by ticket purchases & bake sales at intermissions will go to that chosen organization. I thank all my students and their parents for making this dream possible.

So I truly hope you will come out this fall and dance with us! Lets dance together and make this world shine a little brighter!"

Ballet

Ballet classes begin as early as age 2, sometimes even sooner with the Twinkle Toes class. This class teaches basic movement to toddlers-preschoolers and gives the basics they need to advance into Primary Ballet, Jazz, or Hip Hop. Dance games are played throughout the half hr, and there is story time during every class to help students learn to focus.

In Primary Ballet my students learn the basics of ballet/lyrical: musical timing, barre exercises, center work, muscle development etc. Along with dance games such as Ribbon Dance (to help students with fluidity in arm movement) and freeze dance.

Then they will move into Junior Ballet: this class we deepen our knowledge of musical timing, center work, muscle development as well as learn how to start connecting with the music to tell a story through dance.

Intermediate Ballet: by the end of the year, students should have all ballet terms memorized, have an excellent understanding in barre and centre work, and be able to connect with the audience when performing.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop classes begin at age 4, after graduating the Twinkle Toes class.
Lil Hoppers classes are geared towards pre K - K kids, with beginner hip hop movements and dance games to help them laugh and learn.

Primary Hip Hop classes establish the beginner movements of breakdancing, and musical timing, also playing dance game to help them practice what they are learning.

Junior Hip Hop has more advanced hip hop/breakdancing moves and students begin learning about dance battles, stalls, and tutting. It is a fun and energetic class.

Intermediate Hip Hop is the most advanced group, students are expected to have mastered at least 2 stalls by the end of the year, make up their own tutting, and add their own flare to the moves taught in class, as well as be able to connect to the audience while performing.
